July - Field Trip - Deerlick Astronomy Village in Shanon, GA - Griers Field

We will travel as a caravan the hour drive north to the Astronomy Village.
We will travel up Fri. night, star gaze that night and Sat. night and return Sun.
Telescopes will be provided. An experienced astronomy will be on hand to guide our night time viewing. Bring any chairs, binoculars and bedding you want. Two man tents will be set up with inflated mattresses. There will be the usual RV as a stand by for escape from hot weather, bathroom facilities, if needed, first aid, etc.

Meals will be provided but, as usual, members are expected to assist with clean up duties
As part of the Lyceum and Book Club benefits, our members are provided with a 2 year family membership to the Deerlick Astronomy Village enabling them to enjoy the Village grounds on their own with their families, only having to pay the nightly camping fee when they go on their own.
