ABOUT ME

My bailiwick is reading about the history of countries outside US borders. Particularly the origin history of a country, when they are just formulating who they are as a whole. By focusing on that timeframe, the main ensemble actors on the stage do not include the US and its interests. It is solely focused on the viewpoint of the people of that country. It's like a novel where you adopt their aspirations, understand the particular difficulties and what their underlying motivations are.

Studying the events in astronomy and space are a good deal like that. It's another story in which we read the beginning chapters that shape the story line and then wait for new chapters to come out. 

 

(ps - that is a picture of me at some point in my 50s. Just make that image fat, old and wrinkled with a lot less hair and what is there, imagine as grey. - and that would be me now.
